Loktak Lake

Location

Loktak lake is like a miniature sea. It is the largest fresh water lake in the North-East. Sendra is a hillock of an island of Loktak lake, 48Kms away from Imphal City on Tidim road. From the Tourist bunglow, set atop Sendra island, visitors can get a birds eye-view of the unique Loktak Lake and the floating mass called "Phumdis". The main feature of this lake is the floating islands and the Brow Antlered deer.Loktak lake is known for its view which is adorned by beautiful natural serene and picturesque just at a distance of 48 kms away from Imphal.

Khuga dam

Location

Khuga dam near Mata village is a multi-purpose project located to the south of Churachandpur town (Manipur), India. The project, which will supply electricity and water, was started in 1983 and resumed in 2002 after being at a standstill for a period of time.

Sendra Island

From the Tourist Bungalow set atop Sendra Island, visitors get a bird's eye view of life on the Lake-small islands that are actually floating weed on which live the Lake people, the shimmering blue waters of the Lake, labyrinthine boat routes and colourful water plants. The Sendra Tourist Home with an attached cafeteria in the middle of the lake is an ideal tourist spot.

Mount Tiyi

Location

Mount Tiyi is a hill which has supernatural legends associated with it. Most Nagas believe that this mountain is the abode of departed souls. According to local Wokhan folklore the mountain had an orchard that could only be found by the 'lucky ones.' Rhododendrons are found commonly on Mount Tiyi.

Mount Pauna

Location

Mount Pauna is the third highest peak in Nagaland offering panoramic views of nature. It also offers great trekking opportunity. The most favourable time for trekking is November. There are several places around Mt. Pauna where ancient articles can be seen. Some of them are monoliths, amazingly shaped stones and rocks and morungs.
