Spread over a vast extend of 275 square kilometer, the Pench National Park, which snuggles in the southern gradients of the Satpura ranges is well known for its varied flora and fauna. A tropical dry deciduous forest in which the core vegetation is the Teak plant is also famed for the white Kullu trees .The river Pench, which divides the National Park into two, forms the sustenance of the Park.
Karera Bird Sanctuary in Madhya Pradesh is the hub of diverse avian army and is a perfect spot for bird watchers. With an array of birds of different colors, shape and size, this sanctuary houses not only birds but is also home to a number of wild animals.
Located in Shivpuri District of Madhya Pradesh, Madhav National Park was a hunting place of the Gwalior royal family and the British. Kanha National Park, located in Madhya Pradesh, is one of the best known tiger reserves in India. Snugly situated between Banjar and Halon valley, Kanha was declared a national park in 1955 and is an important Project Tiger Reserve. The Park is the result of earnest conservation efforts by the Indian government with remarkable cooperation from the local communities of the region.
Kanha national park covers a core area of 945 square km and its landscape includes grassy meadows, lush forests, streams and hills. The topography here is perfectly suited for a wide variety of flora and fauna that have taken root and flourished here. The serene settings at Kanha were the inspiration for Rudyard Kipling’s famous work, the Jungle Book.
It is about 60 km. in North of Gwalior. Here one can find rare and endangered Gharial ( Gavialis gangeticus) and Ganges River Dolphin ( Platanista gangetica). Apart from that it is also a paradise for bird watchers. One can reach it by road from Agra also. It is about 67 km. from Agra.
Spread over a vast area of 445 hectors of land on a majestic hillock, the Van Vihar National Park is situated in the heart of Bhopal city. An oasis of greenery, this national park house a variety of herbivorous and carnivorous species in their natural habitat.
Van Vihar is more of a zoo than a national park. Most of the animals are either orphaned, brought from various parts of the state, or those which are exchanged from other zoos. Van Vihar is a place where the visitors are provided with the opportunity to enjoy, experience, understand and appreciate nature.
Main attraction in the Bandhavgarh is Bandhavgarh National Park. This is a thriving national park with rich flora and fauna in an area of 450 sq km. The park with hilly terrains of sandstones and rocks is covered with marshy lands and meadows of dense forests. This National Park is a home to many varieties of animals including tigers, Indian bison, sambars, langurs and chitals. This wildlife sanctuary is having the highest population of tigers in India.
The National Park is surrounded by dense green trees and contains number of caves enclosing ancient shrines. These ancient caves are worthy of visiting and are adorned with ancient Sanskrit inscriptions.
At a distance of about 42 Km from Cooch Behar town lies Rasikbill, which is the largest abode of migratory birds in North Bengal. Considered as a paradise for bird watchers, the place also has a deer park, an aquarium and a mini zoo. There is a 70 ft high watch tower and a WBFDC (West Bengal forest Development Corporation) bungalow in Rasikbill making it all the more attractive to tourists. The main migratory bird species found in this wet land are Lesser Whistling Teal, Common Teal, Cotton Teal, Dapchick, Bronze winged Jacana, Pheasent, Tailed Janacana, Shoveler, Barheaded goose, White Eyed Poacherd etc.

Koderma Reserve Forest is situated in the northern part of the district and has varied flora and fauna.
Betla National Park is located in Jharkhand, on the main Ranchi-Daltonganj Road. This park is spread over an area of around 1026 sq. km and was developed as a Tiger Reserve in 1974.
