Lenin Statue

Location

Lenin Statue: One of the Lenin Statues in the whole country is erected in Vijayawada. This statue symbolizes the ideologies of communism and the struggle of working class in the whole world, especially in India. This is a marvelous statue and many people pay a visit to this statue.

This place is dynamic with many activities including garlanding on politically important days like May 1, World Laborer’s Day.

Sri Sathya Sai Hill View Stadium

Location

Sri Sathya Sai Hill View Stadium: Sri Sathya Sai Hill View Stadium is constructed for the purpose of conducting the annual sports and cultural meets of all institutions run by the Sathya Sai foundation. This meets usually falls on January 11. Apart from this institutional meets, all celebrations with regard to the birthday ceremony is also organized here in this Stadium. On that auspicious occasion Sai Baba uses the podium of this stadium to address the large gathering. Its vast spectators gallery can accommodate nearly 30,000 people.

Numaish

Location

Numaish is the Urdu word, which means exhibition. The Hyderabad Numaish has something for all the people. It was first organised in the year 1937 during the ruling period of the Nizam. Almost all the roads of the city lead to the Numaish in Nampally, which is located in the centre of Hyderabad. The people from various regions of the city and even adjacent districts and neighbouring states visit this place to take part in the gala event.

Buddha Statue

Location

Buddha Statue: The Buddha Statue is the world’s largest single-stone statue of Buddha, which is made of a white granite rock. It is 22 metres (72 feet) in height and 450 tonnes (4,50,000 kilograms) in weight. It is located in the center of the lake on the rock of Gibraltar in the tranquil waters of the Hussain Sagar Lake. It was a contribution of the Buddha Poornima Project held in the year 1985.

Uppalapadu Nature Conservation

Location

Uppalapadu is a village situated near Guntur, where nature conservation programme has been initiated. There is a bird sanctuary in the village, which houses Painted Storks, Spotted Pelicans and other migratory birds. The village tanks are somehow different and attract thousands of birds. Earlier these tanks had around 12,000 birds, but now only 7,000 birds are there. Things like incorporating artificial trees, local awareness, adequate water supply to the ponds, etc are observed to marmalade nature.
