It is approachable by Chirkunda. Garh Panchakot is nearly 23kms from Asansol town and there West engal Forest Department has constructed Guest House, Medicinal Garden, a health SPA & Massage Parlour with Ayurvedic oil. Situated in the hills and amidst deep forest you are sure to have a feeling of the Jungle with noise of animals, birds and insects and absoultely no human or human created noise.
About 20 km from Asansol. It is approachable via Neamatpur or Asansol Bypass, or one can take a little circuitous route via Chirkunda. Those travelling in a car often take one route for going out and return by the other.
The highest peak of Jalpaiguri the Chota Sinchula is located in Alipurduar. Situated at an altitude of 1733m at about 12km from Buxa the peak offers beautiful sights of the impermeable forest covers of Buxa hills and Bhutan valley.
Also known as Ajwa lake, Sayaji Sarovar located 22 km away from Vadodara, is the main water source that was formed by damming the Surya River and Vaghali Nala. Designed by Shri Jagannath Sadashiv, the work on the scheme was started in 1885 and was completed in 1890. The earthen dam with an area of 190 sq km is 5 km in length and could store water to the height of 212 feet above the sea level. The reservoir is an ideal picnic spot with boating facilities.
Formerly known as Chandan Talao, Sursagar Lake located at the heart of the city was rebuilt in the 18th century with stone banks and masonary. With a total circumference of one and a half mile, it is around 60 feet deep in the center. Specially used for boating purpose, this popular tourist destination looks extremely beautiful in the moonlit nights. A concrete wall is constructed around the lake, where the people can sit and enjoy. On every Saturday and Sunday evenings, special lightings are done around the lake.
The charming Lalbaug garden located 4kms from the city is one of the major attractions of Vadodara. With the colorful plants, cool breeze and the adjoining play park, Lalbaug has become a popular hangout of the tourist as well as locals.
The Seashore in Udvada has turned to be a beautiful Beach inviting the visitors with its vibrancy. This beach is dressed up with the muddy brown sand and rough rocky terrains. A pillar in the small port in Sanjan near the beach marks the spot where the Parsis first landed in Udvada.
Situated 28 Kms. away from Surat, Hajira is another health resort on the creek of the Arabian sea. The Hajira beach, fringed by caserne trees is a popular hangout for the tourists and the local people alike has comfortable holiday homes. The place has two wells with full of water rich in iron and sulphur.
The renowned health resort, Dumas is located about 16 km away from Surat railway station. Overlooking the Arabian sea, this beautiful picnic spot has a sandy sea beach that attracts tourists. Cottages are available for accommodation purpose.
