Kempty Falls

Location

Kempty falls is one of the most popular and crowded tourist spots in Mussoorie. This is a perennial waterfall, plunging its way down about 40 ft from a mountain. Kempty Falls is the largest of the five cascades that emerge down from the mountains to flow down various huge rocks into the plains.

Lal Tibba

Location

Lal Tibba or the Red Hill, as it literally means in local language, was also referred to as Depot Hill due to the presence of the convalescent depot. This is the highest point in Mussoorie. The Indian Military services are stationed at Lal Tibba that makes access to the hill restricted. Broadcasting stations or towers of All India Radio and Doordarshan are situated atop Lal Tibba.

Lunagad Creek

Location

Lunagad, concentrated by summer camps, is an amazing river side location. Chorabari (Gandhi Sarovar)

Only 2 kms trek away from Kedarnath. Floating-ice on the crystal clear waters of the lake fascinates the visitors. Allmost all the places in an around Kedarnath is related to Mahabharata in one or the other way. Chorabari also is not an exception. This picturesque lake is also named as Gandhi Sarovar. The popular belief is that it was from here Yudhishthira endeavors his heavenly voyage. A small lake from where Yudhishthir, the eldest of the Pandavas, is believed to have departed to heaven is known as Gandhi Sarovar. The floating ice on the sparkling water is a fascinating site.

Deoria Tal

Location

Deoria Tal is one among such vista’s that captivates any body with its charismatic appeal. At a height of 3200 meters, Deoria Tal’s crystalline water offers a spell bound images of its beautiful surroundings.

It is believed that it was the place from where the mighty Pandavas were asked queries by Yaksha. The lake is surrounded in a soothingly inclined field bounded by a deep wood cover. Lakes emerald waters are ideally matched with the rhododendrons and the lofty tree Mahal, with pure pallid flower heads. Set majestically in the lap of the magnificent mountain peaks, Deoria Tal is a popular destination among the challenging lots.

Vasuki Tal

One of the holiest places in India Kedarnath is famed for its innumerable number of shrines. All most all the nook and corner there is a temple. Besides these holy shrines, Kedarnath proffers a pictorial ambiance that grabs lots of tourists towards it. Bounded by the lofty mountain peaks of the majestic Himalayas, the landscapes in this holy city present picture book sceneries.

Vasuki tal is one of the prettiest sights in Kedarnath, which is liked for its glittering waters. A lake at an altitude of 4135 meters in the midst of snowy mountains is a breath taking sight. Apart from its awesome beauty, this pictorial lake provides the charming view of the neighboring Chaukhamba peaks.

Rudradhari Falls and Caves

Location

Rudradhari Falls and Caves in Kasauni are located at a place with terraced fields, lush green paddy fields and dense green pine forests. These magnificent waterfalls can be viewed while trekking to Adi Kailash region in the hill station of Kasauni. The Rudhadhari falls is a natural attraction here and many ancient caves are explored nearby areas. The falls impinging the valley flows from their as rivers and small springs.
