Cinnamora Tea Estate was established by Maniram Dewan, a sirastadar of an assistant commissioner, who worked under the British administration at Jorhat. Established in 1850, this estate is the first tea garden of Assam.

Tocklai Tea Research Centre is situated on the Club Road in Jorhat. This research centre is counted amongst the largest and the oldest tea research stations in the world. It was established in 1911, with the main aim to conduct scientific research to find solutions for enhancing the productivity and quality of tea in north-east India.

Digboi Oil Refinery, established in 1901, is the first refinery of the country. It is one of the oldest oil refineries of the world and is still operational. The refinery has the capacity of producing around 0.65 Million Metric Tonnes Per Annum (MMTPA) oil. It is also engaged in production and distillation of wax from crude oil. This refinery is the headquarters of the Assam Oil Division of the Indian Oil Corporation Limited. The oil fields and the Oil Museum situated nearby are also popular .
The Kalia Bhomora Setu is a pre-stressed concrete road bridge built over the River of Brahmaputra. It has been named after the Ahom General Kalia Bhomora Phukan and its construction took over 6 years from 1981 to 1987. The construction company of this bridge namely the Hindustan Construction Company was also awarded by the American Concrete Institute with a merit certificate of the most outstanding concrete structure in year 1988.
Dinjoy Satra is situated around 5 km towards the north of Chabua Township. It was a Satra found by Aniruddha Dev at Bisnubalikakunshi village towards North Lakhimpur that was later shifted to Khutiaputa. In due course of time and after many disturbances, the Satra was named as Dinjoy Satra when it was brought to Dinjan at Chabua. Since then, it has been kept at the present site and is popularly called as Dinjoy Satra.
Among all the monuments in Dibrugarh, the Raidongia Dol is one of the most famous Located in Larua Mouza in Kalakhowa region, near Dihingia Barbarua road, the Raidongia Dol is around a height of 45 ft .
Earlier, there were 24 statues on the walls which have been reduced to 14 eventually. According to historical records, this dol along with a nearby pond and 200 pura were given as a part of dowry during the marriage of Swargadeo Pramatta Singha’s sister with Raidnogia Barua.
Moderkhat Satra is an extended version of Dinjoy Satra and was established by Chandrakantadev, the brother of the then head priest of Dinjoy Satra, Sidanandadeb Dinjoy.
The Garpara Satra is located in the Rohmoria Mouza, but is now being shifted to another place because of the fear of soil erosion. The first chief of this Satra was Narimaider.
