Nehru Kund

Location

5 kms on National Highway to Leh,a natural spring of cold clear water named after Pt. Jwahar Lal Nehru, who used to drink water from this spring during his stay in Manali. This spring is believed to originate from the Bhrigu lake situated high-up in the mountains.

Old Manali

Location

A serene enjoyable town, Old Manali situates to the north of the Mall. With its impressive array of brilliant, old stilted houses and well mannered people, old Manali presents a pleasing tourist destination. On the way to this hamlet one can found a good number of cafes and guest houses. Beautiful houses with wooden balconies and sandstone roofs are the main characteristic features of this locale.

Solang Valley

Location

A gorgeous dale, stuck between Beas Kund and Solang village, Solang Valley is a pictorial spot, which presents the awesome scenery of snow clad mountains and glaciers. Popularly called as the Snow point, Solang Valley is a perfect place for skiing and the 300 meter sky lift is the main fascination of this stunning picnic location.

A hot spot of the adventure buffs, this amazing picnic spot offers challenging activities like, Horse ride, Paragliding, Skiing and Zorbing. The Manali mountaineering Institute imparts special training in skiing for the fresher. This fabulous place is also the center of the annual winter skiing festival. The valley also holds a shrine of Lord Shiva on the top of a hill.

Brighu Lake

Location

Brighu Lake lies east of the Rohtang Pass and is about 6-km from the village of Bulaba. The shores of this clear water lake are devoid of human habitation ,yet it is visited regularly by the people of the area.

Rahala Falls

Location

Situated at the starting point of the stunning Rohtang Pass, Rahala Falls are a popular picnic spot in Manali. This pretty waterfall is an aftereffect of the dribbling of water from precipitous rocks and imposing glaciers. It exhibits the exceptional beauty of the environment around. The entire area is bounded with the thick deodar forest, and lofty birch trees, which creates an unsullied and pungent atmosphere.

Beas Kund (Chandratal Lake)

Location

A historic place, where it is believed that Vyas had performed his daily bath, Beas Kund is regarded as a sacred place by the Hindus. The originating point of the Majestic river Bias, Beas Kund is found sheltered by an igloo like stone formation. A typical rocky terrain, this place is devoid of vegetation. The crystal clear and chilly arctic waters resemble that of a spring, which would freeze the fingers.

Baralacha la

Location

This pass is situated around 73 km from Keylong and is considered one of the best places to trek. The beauty of the pass draws a large number of tourists as well. The name Baralacha la implies a pass that has crossroads at its top. True, since the paths from Ladakh, Spiti and Lahaul join at the top of the pass. Three rivers, Chandra, Bhaga and Yunam also have their origin from this point.

Mahasu Peak

Location

This the most elevated point at Kufri. An exciting trek leads you up to the top of the peak. Apart from that, once you are there, you can have wonderful views of the Kedarnath and Badrinath ranges as well. Mahasu Peak is the highest peak in Kufri, offering breathtaking views of its surroundings. The path leading to the peak is surrounded by wooded forests of spruce and deodar. The Mahasu Ridge offers a great opportunity for skiing. The slopes at Mahasu Peak are best for beginners. During the winters Mahasu Peak gets flooded with adventurous tourists.
