Raja Mandir

Location

Being in the historic as well mythological zone has created numerous monuments and shrines of worship in Faizabad and its twin town Ayodhya. The Raja Mandir claims its linkage directly with Lord Ram, the ruler of Ayodhya. Based on the Guptar Ghat on the shores of Sharayu, the Raja mandir houses various artfully carved out idols of numerous Hindu Gods and Goddesses.

Valmiki Ashram

Location

This ashram is located at a height and accessible by a flight of stairs known as the "stairway to heaven". A panoramic vie of Bithoor can be enjoyed from this ashram. Built by the J.K. trust, Shri Radhakrishna temple is also locally referred to as the J.K. temple. This Hindu temple has five shrines dedicated each to Lord Radhakrishna, Lord Ardhnareswara, Lord Lakshminarayana, Lord Narmadeshwar and Lord Hanuman.

This marks the place where the child Dhruva meditated single mindedly as he stood on one leg. As a reward, God granted Dhruva the divine boon to shine for all time as a star.
