The ruin of the Kutubshahi Masjid is also worth visiting, which was built in the honour of Saint Nur Qutb-ul-Alam. Locally the mosque is called Chhoto Sona Masjid.
Adina Masjid symbolizes the equal significance of the Hindus and Muslims in Malda. The mosque is built over a Hindu temple featuring 378 small domes. It is recognized as the largest mosque built in India. Built in 1369 by Sultan Sikander Shah it was one of the largest mosques in India. Carved basalt masonry from earlier Hindu temples is said to have also been used.
Pandua Bari Mosque is a long, low building established in 1300 AD. This masjid is a specimen of the typical brick style of Bengal. The building has dimension of 7041 m by 12.8 m. It has three aisles, with 21 door openings in front and three on the side. The roof has 63 small domes over brick arches resting on stone pillars that are influenced by Hindu architecture. Furthermore, the mosque also has a canopied platform.
Antpur Math was started in Hooghly in 1965 and affiliated in 1986. The centre is situated in the birthplace of Swami Premananda, one of the foremost disciples of Sri Ramakrishna. At this place, young disciples of Sri Ramakrishna under the leadership of Swami Vivekananda took the vow of renunciation. This led to the formation of the Ramakrishna Math.
The Siddheswari Kali Bari was constructed by Maharaja Harendra Narayan in 1830 and is located around 11 km from the town of Cooch Behar. The temple has the idol of Goddess Siddheswari and there is a holy tree by the temple as well.
Located 10 km towards the north of the town of Cooch Behar, the temple of Baneswar Siva has a ‘Shivalinga’ that is 10 ft below the platform level. The temple also has ‘Gouripat’ and another temple by its side with the idol of 'Ardhanariswar'. During the festivals of Dol Purnima and Madan Chaturdashi, the idol of 'Ardhanariswar' is carried to the Madan Mohan Temple in the town for some time. The temple complex also has a pond with many tortoises with some of them being very big and old. A big fair is held here during the occasion of Siva Chaturdashi.
The Siddhanath Siva Temple is made of terracotta and is located around 7 km from Cooch Behar, on the way to Dinhata. This temple was established between 1799 and 1843 by Maharaja Shibendra Narayan and Maharaja Harendra Narayan and has five peaks in the shape of domes, but the highest peak in the middle has been destroyed.
The Madhupur Dham was built in the 16th century in honour of Shankaradeva when he made his last journey to Cooch Behar in 1489 on the request of Maharaja Nar Narayan to preach the sermons of neo-Vaishnava cult. The Dangar Ayee Temple located in Gunjabari in the town of Cooch Behar was constructed between 1839 and 1847 by Dangar Ayee, Kameswari Debi, wife of Maharaja Shibendra Narayan. This temple is famously known as 'Aunt's House' of Lord Madan Mohan and so, the place is called Gunjabari.
