Adjacent to the orchid lake resort in one of the surrounding spurs, there is a charming park. Besides beautiful lawns and flowers. There is also an orchid-house and an aviary. Plans are afoot to construct an aquarium and set-up musical fountains nearby.

The Botanical Garden has been successfully preserving and recreating some of the rare species. The Orchidarium of the Botanical Survey of India boasts of am amazingly rare collection of orchids. These Orchids have been obtained from remote location with an aim to provide a congenial atmosphere for these species to hold and grow their roots once again on the soil of Meghalaya.
