Biju Patnaik Park

Location

Biju Patnaik Park, dedicated to the great son and many time chief minister of Orissa, Biju Patnaik, was opened for public recently and is located in Berhampur.

The park, spreading over seven acres, is maintained by Berhampur Development Authority. It has a musical fountain, a floating mountain, very beautiful landscape and boating facilities for children. The local people frequently visit this park to spend their evenings and weekends which gives a lung space in the midst of busy city. The park is very nicely illuminated with decorated lamps.

Rock Garden

Location

This Rock Garden in Ranchi is situated on Gonda Hill. The garden is built to strike a balance between creativity of modern and ancient man, awesome in its appearance. Artificial waterfalls and sculptures adorn this garden.

At the foot of Gonda hill is a lake known as Kanke Dam.

Deer Park

Location

A fast emerging and eye catching tourist spot, the Deer Park in Ranchi, encloses hundred of various species of deer. Beginning with 15 dears, the park has grown in number of deer and also in number of visitors. The park is a natural habitat to the dear.

The park is placed a picturesque surroundings, with beautiful gardens, well laid pathways and playing parks for children. The main attraction here is the Park safari and the facilities arranged for the visitors are very good.

Sir Dorabji Tata Park

Location

Sir Dorabji Tata Park, named after the eldest son of Jamshedji Nusserwanji Tata Shri Dorabji, is located in the proximity of Keenan Stadium in Jamshedpur city. This is the place for the annual flower show in the steel city, which is attracted by thousands of local people and tourists from other states. The park offers a cool and calm ambiance for the visitors.

Jubilee Park (Jayanti Sarovar)

Location

An amazing park in Jamshedpur, the Jubilee Park is also known as Jayanti Sarovar, which is a notable part of the Park. The nature friendly park, inaugurated in 1956, with lush green vegetation, attractive illuminated fountains and multi colored flowering plants is a marvelous spot to spend some time in the lap of Mother Nature in the busy industrial city.

One of the biggest parks in India, Jubilee Park sprawls around 237.75 acres of scenic lands. The garden known as Moghul Garden in this park is built as a replica of Brindvan Gardens in Bangalore. The beautiful Rose Garden with more than 1000 varieties of different colored roses adds the attraction to the Park.

Bhatia Park

Location

Subernareka River is the lifeline of the industrial city Jamshedpur. The shore of this river attracts many tourists and locals to spend their vacations and weekends away form the maddening crowds of the city. Bhatia Park is a marvelous park located on the banks of this river at a place named as Shastri Nagar.

The park is well maintained and well laid out with many facilities for enjoying the pleasant activities. Shade trees and flowering plants add the beauty of the garden. Vast expanse of green lawns are inviting for the children. It is an ideal spot to have relaxed moments.

Maitri Bagh

Location

The only zoo cum children park available in this region for general public. The Bag is maintained by the Bhilai Steel Plant Management with all the facilities of playing for children apart from a comprehensive zoo with many birds, animals and reptiles.

Main attraction is the white tiger which are 4 in number. The huge sized Lions and lionesses also attracts all age group of people. People and many school children come for picnic and other functions. Every year a Flower show is organised in the Bag during which many kind of unbelievable sized flowers and vegetables are displayed which are brought from various part of the district.
