Sargeshwar Beach

Location

The main attractions at Vengurla are undoubtedly the amazingly clean stretches of white sand beaches. The Sagareshwar beach, almost at a distance of 4 km from the Bus stop, is another gorgeous feather in the cap of Vengurla. The beach can be approached various directions but the recommendation is to rush towards the sea through the small shrubs along the road and feel the soft talcum sand caress the feet before the plunge into the sea.

The best part is that the beach is largely unspoilt and is deserted. The sea is calm and choppy at the best and is extremely safe for a dip.

Vayangani Beach

Location

A beach may attract a lot of tourists for its open sea attraction but when a beach like Vayangani attracts tourists its not entirely for the sea shore but also for the enchanting location and the greenery that surrounds it.

The lush green mango, cashew and Jackfruit trees cover entire beach stretch. Tender coconuts are available at throw away prices at the beach and sipping water from them in total bliss of the beach is an experience not to be missed. More than the sand stretch it is the greenery surrounding it that leads an exodus of tourists toward the Vayangani beach.

Hot Water Springs

Location

There are about 21 hot water springs spread over about 7 km on the Tansa river bed in Vajreshwari and the surrounding villages of Ganeshpuri, Akloli and Satvalli. These hot springs contain many medicinal qualities that help cure skin ailments due to the presence of sulphur and other curable elements in them.

Brahmagiri Hill

Location

Trimbakeshwar Temple is perched on the picturesque lusting green Brahmagiri hills near Nasik in Maharashtra. River Godavari originates on this hill and flows though the Brahmagiri ranges.

Brahmagiri, the hill (giri) of Lord Brahma, appear in many mythological and legendary documents. Legend says that the saint Gautam and his wife Ahalya resided on this hill. Saint Gautam worshiped Lord Shiva to bring Ganga in this hill. This river is known as River Gautami in the Brahmagiri hills.

The undulated terrains of Brahmagiri are challenging spots for adventurous travels like nature walk and trekking. There are many trekking trails nestled among the woody trees. The ranges are rich with natural attractions and scenic spots.

Achra Beach

Have you ever seen the waves rise to 2 meters and still display a clean and crystal clear bottom at more than 25 feet? Have you ever seen a beach where even the most prim and proper gentleman would roll on the sand without giving a thought to removing his formals? Well then, you have never been to Achra.

Dhamapur Lake

Location

Dhamapur Lake is of crytsal clear water is spread over about 5 acres and lies between Are and Katta villages. This lake about 20 kms from Tarkarli is in the western region of Sindhdurg and has many water related sport activities for its tourist like boating. Scenic hills lie on two side of the lake while greenery surrounds it altogether. There is an ancient Bhagwati temple on its banks.

This lake is visited by many bird species.

If you were a person who likes water and the shores minus the large sea waves then Dhamapur Lake is the ideal picnic spot for you. Located near the western region of Sindhudurg, the Dhamapur Lake is famous for crystal clear waters. It’s possible to see the bottom of the lake during clear and turmoil free weather.

Kolamb Beach

Location

If you have ever dreamt of owning a huge and beautiful beach to yourselves then Kolamb beach would swell your chest with pride for the crowd on this mesmerizing beach is so thin that it’s not possible to wonder if you own and have the beach all for yourselves. Hardly a soul will be visible on the beach; unfortunately neither would you find any food or drink vendor in the vicinity. Left all to yourselves if you have your rations packed and raring to move then Kolamb is the place for you. Kolamb beach ends up in a creek from one side called the Kolamb creek.

Tarkarli Beach

Location

Tarkarli has been bestowed with a long coastline which is ideal for those long romantic and nostalgia filled walks. The feeling of soft sand under your nimble toes and the presence of clear water and sky along with the cleanest of breathing air provides a heady feeling. Not to forget that the beach is also the trusted zone for the female turtles. It is not uncommon to find a turtle lazing on the beach or hatching and protecting its eggs.

The beach has silk smooth sand along the stretch. Again the water is so pure that the seabed is visible even if you venture out at the sea.

Kondivli Beach

Location

If the beaches along Srivardhan are marvelous then the adventure sports available at the Kondivili beach are out of this world. Situated at almost 4-5 km from Srivardhan the Kondivli beach simply refuses to be faithful to the general definition of a beach.

The long soft white sand beach has been remarkably spruced up to realise the dreams of every Water Sports adventure buff. Kondivili beach is just the option if you are wondering how it feels to cut the waves at 100 mile an hour or Para glide on the surf or even surfing on the clear water waves of Kondivili. The adventure doesn’t start at the beach actually, one has the option of trekking down the lovely cliffs of Shriwardhan.
