Ansal Plaza

Location

Ansal Plaza is another shopper’s paradise of Delhi, which covers an area of about 35 acres. It is situated near South Extension, another popular market of Delhi and is a part of HUDCO Place. Built in a circular fashion around an amphitheatre with a centre stage, it is counted amongst the biggest malls in Delhi.

It has a French Glass Curtain wall, which keeps the harmful radiations. It comprises many corporate offices, which are located on the 2nd and 3rd floor. Apart from this, the complex has a twin-level basement car parking area, having a capacity of around 1,000 cars. Various water cascades and fountains all around the corridors beautify the granite and marble flooring.

Ruzaphema

Location

Ruzaphema, located 5 km away from Kohima on the Dimapur-Kohima Road, is a popular shopping area. This area is known for its colourful bazaars, where visitors can shop for unique and beautiful handicrafts that are made by the tribal women of Nagaland. Just 5 km away, on the Dimapur-Kohima road is Ruzaphema, a place ideally suited for leisure and recreation with its colorful bazaars and a plethora of tribal handicrafts that are exclusive in their style, and unusually beautiful in their own way.

Bara Bazar

Location

Bara Bazar is a popular flea market in Aizawl, and is the main shopping centre of the hill station. Located on the other side of the ridge, this market is lined with stalls selling garments and other commodities. The market is most famous for purchases like bright colourful traditional garments, handmade wicker baskets and many other things.

Cultural Sub-Centre

Location

Cultural Sub-Centre, set up on a beautiful hill range, is situated to the north of Aizawl. It is a good retreat centre, which allows visitors to break free from the cacophony of modern life by providing them a confluence of modern amenities amidst natural environment. Tourists can either drive to the place in rented cars, or hire a cab.

Police Bazaar

Location

Police Bazaar also popularly known as PB by the locals is a commercial hub in the downtown area, near the main bus stand. It is packed with shops, restaurants and hotels making it a convenient central hub from where tourists can make trips to the town's various tourist attractions, and journeys out of town to other tourist centres.

Gymkhana Club

Location

The Gymkhana Club is situated around 4 km away from the Jorhat City Centre. This club was constructed in 1876 by D. Slimmon, the Secretary of the Club in the Seconidhara Village. Ever since its inauguration, the club has served as a venue for horse races. The Governor's Cup is the major event hosted by this club, every year.

During 1870's, the region was dotted with tea gardens and there was no recreational facility available for the British or local people in the region, which is why, the foundation of this club was laid. Now, the club has a 9 hole golf course circuit, which is amongst the oldest golf courses in Asia.
