Location
A modern center of Buddhist thought set up by the Bihar Government, in the year 1951 Nava Nalanda Vihar tries to spread the ancient tradition to the modern generation. The institute is located at the famous lotus pond in Bihar. The centre mainly dealt with research-oriented education in the Pali script and Buddha religion.
Both Foreign and Indian students joins here to get an in depth knowledge of the Buddhist and other similar ideologies. Majority of the foreign students are from countries such as Japan, Sri Lanka, Korea, Bhutan and Tibet. The main aim of this institution is to bring back the old world charm of Nalanda as a seat of education and culture.
