Location

National Oil Park of Digboi is not just an oil refinery, but also has a national wildlife park and an oil museum. Digboi oil well discovered in the year 1889, is the oldest one in entire Asia. In the wildlife park one can also come across a tiger or an elephant during evenings.

Shivaram Wildlife Sanctuary

Location

Shivaram Wildlife Sanctuary of Andhra Pradesh is a total delight for nature lovers. Sited on the banks of River Godavari, the sanctuary is known for its population of fresh water crocodiles. This haven truly appears to be immersed in nature's beauty and splendor. Sprawled in an area of 36.29 sq km, the wildlife asylum lies at a distance of about 10 km, 50 km and 80 km from Manthani, Mancherial and Karimnagar, respectively.

Kawal Wildlife Sanctuary

Location

Kawal Wildlife Sanctuary is the prefect destination to look for multiplicity of flora and fauna in India. Located in Adilabad district of Andhra Pradesh, the sanctuary lies at a distance of 50 km from Mancherila and 260 km from Hyderabad. It was established in 1964 with the purpose of safeguarding the endangered species in their natural habitat. Owing to its bio-diversity, the haven was declared as a wildlife sanctuary later.

One of the attractions near Ziro town is the Tale Sanctuary which is situated only 38 kilometers from the town. Covering an area of 337 square kilometers, the sanctuary is rich in flora and fauna. Talley Valley Wildlife Sanctuary

Location

Arunachal Pradesh as a whole contain 40% of the floral and faunal species in India. The Ziro valley has a good share of this biodiversity. Thirty kilometers from Ziro is the famous Talley Valley Wildlife Sanctuary.
At the altitude of 2400meters, Talley is a plateau with dense forest of silver fir trees, pine clad plateau of beautiful grandeur, and a vast wasteland. The area has some of the most important endangered species including the clouded leopard.

The nearby region of this wildlife sanctuary is occupied by Idu Mishimis and Adis. The sanctuary shelters rich flora and fauna which fascinates people from around the world. Roing and Itanagar are connected by Pawan Hans Helicopter, so reaching Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary is not a hassle.

Daying Ering Wild Life Sanctuary

Location

The Daying Ering Wild Life Sanctuary in Arunachal Pradesh is located at a distance of 13 km from Pasighat and is one of the few sanctuaries located on an island. One has to cruise through river Siang by boat to reach this sanctuary. During the month of September-February, a variety of migratory birds like Cranes, Wild Ducks, Storks, Water Fowls and Hornbills come here from far off places making it a 'bird's paradise'. Deers, Wild Elephants, Buffaloes and smaller predators are also abundant. The lucky visitor may also have a glimpse of the Tiger.

Namdhapa National Park

One of the major attractions of the state of Arunachal Pradesh are the wild cats that rule the snow bound ranges of the Himalayas. The snow leopards as they are commonly known are found in abundance in wild, however, you need not scan the mountain tops for them.
