The Itanagar Wildlife Sanctuary in Itanagar is one of the major tourist attractions in the city. Located in a sprawling zone the luxuriant Sanctuary is a biologists and tourists delight. The Sanctuary apart from the wide variety of trees and foliage also represents a perfect balance of the ecological system. The Sanctuary is home to a variety of species from the animal and bird kingdom such as the macaque (rhesus, pigtailed, stump tailed and Assamese) hoolock gibbon and Capped langur, slow loris. Rare species of antelopes the serow, goral and Mittan the wild gaur are also housed here.

Nameri National Park is 21 kms away from Bhalukpong and is a Tiger Reserve. It is home to a very large variety of wildlife and since it receives relatively lesser number of visitors as compared to other wildlife parks of the region, it is largely unspoilt.

Pakhui Wildlife Sanctuary at Bhalukpong in Arunachal Pradesh covers an area of 862 square kilometers. While in the sanctuary you can catch a glimpse of the Bengal tiger or the hornbill. The sanctuary also houses some endangered species of birds. Thick forest cover dominates the landscape of the sanctuary. Other animals and birds namely elephants, sambhar, leopard and peacock pheasant can also be seen in this sanctuary.

The Dibang Wildlife Sanctuary, is located just north of Anini and was established in 1992. The region is very mountainous, and snowfall is common in this region. It is protected by the Department of Environment and Forest of Arunachal Pradesh.

Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary becomes the perfect host to migratory birds such as lesser whistling teal, white ibis and open billed stork in winters. It is located 35 km from the capital city Agartala. Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary boasts of beautiful migratory birds such as lesser whistling teal, white ibis and open billed stork in winters. It is a home to 456 species of plants. Here you can sight the endangered crab eating Mongoose and five different species of primates.

Rich in vegetation and fauna the Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary Tripura boasts of forest reserve with abundant patches untouched by human presence. The sanctuary has been carefully premeditated to act as an educative and informative tools for the younger generation visiting the Sanctuary. The main attraction of the Park, is the Indian Gaur (Bison) in addition to many resident and migratory avian guests.

The sanctuary is located near Panisagar, Tripura. The nearest airport is Agartala. You can easily reach the sanctuary by road from Panisagar. A home to several wildlife species, Rowa Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the known wildlife sanctuaries of Tripura. It reflects the fabulous natural heritage of North East India as it is one of the few remains of the natural forests left.

Gumti Wildlife Sanctuary in Tripura shelters elephants, sambar, bison, barking deer, sarow and wild goat and many more. Reptiles have also found a home in the sanctuary. The sanctuary covers an area of 389.54 sq km and is rich in flora and fauna. A network of road connects the sanctuary with Agartala which is around 100 km from it.

Gondacherra Wild Life Sanctuary is good place to forget all your past worries and get lost in the pleasing green forest and pure atmosphere of nature at its primitive best. Mini Zoo Situated at Haddo (Delanipur - Chatham road), it houses some of the rare species of endemic birds and animals found in these islands.

Mini Zoo, as the name suggests, is a small zoo situated at Haddo in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The Zoo is famed to popularity mainly due to its Crocodile breeding program. The breeded crocodiles can be spotted in the wild waters surrounded by dense green forests.
