A temple of the Goddess Durga. Situated near the Corporation building. There is a heavy round stone in the temple. A belief among young svhool going kids "if you lift the stone and place it back without making sound, you will pass in the exam".
This is the temple near the University. A great learned Saint called Kumaraswami established it. People from all over the country came here to listen to his lectures. Since his death last year his followers are maintaining it. Formarly this math was called Navakalyana math in the city and then it got shifted to Tapovan.
This is a well-known temple in North Karnataka visited by pilgrims mainly from Karnataka, Maharashtra & AndhraPradesh. Yellamma temple is situated atop hill, near Soundatti in Belgaum district. The number of devotees visiting the temple is estimated to be around 30 lakhs, their number is the highest on Bharat Hunnime day. Several other famous temples situated at this holy place include Sri Jamadhagnishwar Temple, Sri Parashuram Temple, Yekhanath Joghinath temple, Ganesh temple & Sri Aanjaneya temple.

Shantaleswara Temple with shrines, placed next to each other and faced towards east, dedicated to Hoysaleswara and Shantaleswara, constructed on a high platform, is made out of soft Soapstone, also known as potstone.
The remarkable structure of this temple, with Shivlingam in the sanctorum, has been commended as a perfect prototype of Hindu style of architecture. Its architecture is considered as the pinnacle of Indian architecture.
In the exteriors, the structure seems to be very complex while the interiors are really simple constructions. The exterior walls of the temple have an impressive range of sculptures made out of stones.
Kedareshwara temple, a Chalukyan style temple with two Hoysala emblems, is very famous where the sculptor’s talent seems to have overwhelmed even the goldsmith’s skill in its sheer sophistication. The mix of architecture will overwhelm anybody.
The Kedareshwara temple, assumed to be built in 1319 AD, is a collapsed structure now that has never been restored to its original shape. Besides the stylishly engraved walls and the ceiling, the basement of the temple showcases a plethora of sculptured friezes highlighting stories of the epics Ramayana, Mahabharata and the renowned Bhagavad Gita.
It is assumed that the building of the Hoysaleswara Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, was begun in the middle of 12th century. It is covered with intricately engraved sculptures. Even after 87 years of building, this was never completed as the Delhi Sultanate invaded the Halebid by that time.
