Nutan Bari (New House)

Location

Nutan Bari, New House in English, is built by Swami Saradananda during 1915-16. This house is built to accommodate ever-growing number of devotees visiting Jairambati. This house is located at the western side of Punya Pukur, a holy tank. The house consists of four rooms made with mud walls and straw roofs. It is in this house the holy Mother used to motivate and initiate her devotees.

Mandvi Gate

Location

Mandvi Gate, one of the major landmarks of Vadodara built during the Mughal period was renovated in 1736 AD by the Governor, Malharoa Maloji under the orders of Damaji Roa II. Located 3 kms from the city, this impressive square shaped pavilion has three bold arched openings on each of its four sides. It is illuminated on special occasions. Earlier it might be a market place, intermingled by two large streets separating in to four part that meet in the center.

Located near Nyay Mandir, Lehripura Gate is an impressive structure with beautiful arches. It was built in 1558 as the western gateway to the old city. Now-a-days this area is a busy market place selling traditional Gujarati and Marwari artifacts.

Prag Mahal

Location

The Prag Mahal, Bhuj is one of the main Tourist Attractions in Bhuj. This marvelous building was built under the patronage of in the year 1879. Rao Pragmalji II took up the construction of Prag Mahal in Bhuj, India on 1838 A.D. and continued with it till the year 1876. He assigned the task of designing the building to Colonel Henry Saint Wilkins.

Aina Mahal

Location

The Aina Mahal in Bhuj, India, is an old Palace that was built in the 18th century. The erstwhile palace which belonged to Maharao Lakhpatji has now been transformed into a Museum that is one of the chief Tourist Attractions in Bhuj. The Aina Mahal is famous for a housing an awesome Hall of Mirrors from which the palace get its name (Aina in Hindi means mirror).

The Aina Mahal was constructed by Rao Lakhpatji in the year 1750. Its creator had a passion for music, art, architecture, and literature. The layout, design and decorations of Bhuj Aina Mahal were highly influenced by a royal dream that had eventually been converted into reality by an extremely deft craftsman whose name was Ramsinh Malam.

Water Lock Gate of Bhavnagar

Location

The Water Lock Gate of Bhavnagar that preserves the water level of the docks is an important Tourist Attraction in Bhavnagar. It helps the ships to keep afloat even during low tides.

Water Lock Gate is a one of its kind structure in Gujarat. It was constructed with a special purpose i.e. to maintain the level of the sea water in the docks. This helps the ships to float during the time of low tide. It is allowed to see this gate, but only with prior permission.
