Samadhi of Shahhed Bhagat Singh ,Rajguru and Sukhdev

Location

Dead bodies of the hero- martyrs, Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev, who had been executed at Lahore on March 23, 1931 by the British Government for raising a revolution against the British Government, were cremated stealthily in the darkness of the night here. Every year on March 23, a fair is held when thousands of people gather to pay homage to the great martyrs

National Martyrs Memorial Hussainiwala

Location

National Martyrs Memorial Hussainiwala depicts an irrepressible revolutionary spirit of three National Martyrs namely S Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev who lit eternal flame of liberty by smilingly embracing martyrdom for the motherland. S Bhagat Singh and BK Dutt threw a Bomb in the Central Assembly hall New Delhi on April, 8 1929 to record their protest against the British rule in India. He and his two brave comrades Rajguru and Sukhdev were tried for shooting a British Police Officer Mr Saundras on the 17th December, 1928 These three revolutionaries were awarded death sentence.

Barki Memorial

Location

The Barki Memorial was constructed in 1969 to perpetuate the memory of the soldiers of the 7 Infantry Division who made the Supreme sacrifice on the battle field in 1965 and paved the way for the fall of Barki a town situated at a distance of 15 miles South East of Lahore. The foundation stone of this memorial was laid by Lt Gen Harbakhsh Singh VC on September 11,1969 and unveiling ceremony was performed by Lt Gen HK Sibal MVC.

Qilla Mubarak

Location

The fort with its impressive architecture still adorns the city of Faridkot. Its foundation is believed to have been laid by Raja mokalsi, Raka Hamir Singh renovated it and got it extended. Later ruler like Raja Bikram Singh. Raja Balbir singh got constructed many new buildings. It housed the royal Place. Tosha Khana, Modi Khana & Treasury Buildings. There is a garden within the four walls of the fort. All the buildings are very well build and well furnished.

Kot Kapura

Location

This town is 10 km south of Faridkot and 51 km north of Bathinda. It has a railway station on the Bathinda-Firozpur section, and is connected by metalled roads with Moga, Firozpur, Muktsar and Bathinda. The population of the town was 47,550 in 1981, which rose to 62,480 in 1991.

Dhudike

Location

The village Dhudike lies 3 km from Ajitwal Railway Station on the Ludhiana-Firozpur railway line, and is linked with a Pucka road between Moga and Jagraon, some 16 km from either town. The people here are politically conscious having taken part in the `Gaddar Movement` and Guru-Ka-Bagh Agitation.

Lohagarh Sahib Fort

Location

The 2nd strongest of the Sikhs, Lohagarh Sahib fort is located around 2km from Kesagarh Sahib and is surrounded by green foliage and a few small hamlets. Guru Gobind Singhji had set up an arms manufacturing factory at this fort. This is the only fort where a large part of the fortification is still intact. Ajmer Chand’s army managed to capture this fort after it was deserted by the Sikhs.
