Palni Hills, situated on the eastern side of the Western Ghats, is a range of mountains lies between the Kambam Valley in the south and Kongunadu region in the north. It is a popular destination for pilgrimage due to the famous temple of Lord Karthikeyan or Murugan here. The higher parts of the range are covered by rainforests and grasslands.
