Pataleshwar Caves

Location

Pataleshwar Cave Temple, a rock cut shrine dating back to 8th century, is historical temple in the middle of Jangli Maharaj Road in Shivaji Nagar Pune. The temple is made out of a single hard stone and the main deity is Pataleshwar. The temple bears massive pillars and constructed with the architectural excellence like that of Elephanta caves in Mumbai.

Mulshi Lake and Dam

Location

Mulshi Lake is primarily a tourist attraction nearby Pune. The Lake is formed in the catchments area of Mulshi dam. The Dam is a perfect spot for picnic, with scenic surrounding, unexploited Sahyadri hilly terrains, lusting green dense forests and also some ancient forts like Koraigadh and Dhangad.

Pashan Lake

Sunset Point

Rajpuri Caves

Location

The Rajpuri Caves in Panchgani is a religiously important tourist spot. These ancient caves are surrounded by many water kunds (ponds). Devotees believe that taking bath in these holy kunds will provide relief from all kinds of diseases and evils. Legends claim that the holy Ganges also flows into these kunds.

Kelva Dam

Location

Kelva dam, located at picturesque surroundings, was constructed many years back as a source for the irrigation in the grass farming of Palghar. This has been a storage dam of the water in the Kelva dam. The dam site offer cool and secluded place for evening tours. During weekends many tourists visit this place. Devkop Lake
