Flowing through the Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary, Mehao lake is located 17 km from Roing. It is a picturesque lake and its surroundings boasts of a wide variety of flora and fauna.

The beauty of Itanagar is further enhanced by the presence of an elegant and uncluttered lake the Ganga Lake or the Gyakar Sinyi. This lake has been spruced up with an aim to attract tourist and must say that the authorities have done a commendable job. The tourist spot enthralls with its clear waters, verdant greenery, imposing scenes of lush green mountains and the Itanagar city surrounding it. The stunning greenery that encompasses the lake is to be seen to be believed.

The Tipi Orchidarium lies in the west Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh. The Orchidarium shelters over 500 different varieties of orchids. New hybrid varieties of orchids are created by the scientists in the Orchid research centre. This place is also an ideal spot for adventure enthusiasts as well. Rafters and anglers will be truly delighted.

It is an artificial lake made by Maharaja Dhanya Manikya Bahadur in the 15th century. The hillock overlooking this lake is dotted with the Kali temple. The huge lake here was excavated by Maharaja Dhanya Manikya Bahadur in the late 15th Century while the Kali Temple atop the hillock dates back to the 17th Century. Famous for the great fair held in October, this place is equally popular with the picnickers.

The view of rising and setting sun from various view points in Jampui hills is a wonderful sight for the tourists. Tourists visiting the Jampui hill cannot afford to miss the view of the sunset and the sunrise.

Various view points in the hill range provide excellent panoramic views of the valley and villages of Mizoram. From the watchtower at the highest peak, Betlingchhip (3200 feet high), the Chittagong Hill Tracts, the Kanchanpur - Dasda valley other hill ranges of Tripura and Mizoram unfold an enigmatic scenic vista.
