Radhanagari Wildlife Sanctuary

Location

30 km away from Dajipur Sanctuary, and 52 km from Panhala is the Radhanagari Wildlife Sanctuary. The sanctuary is situated between the main reservoirs of Shahu Sagar and Laxmi Sagar. It is placed in Kolhapur district. Radhanagari Wildlife Sanctuary spreads over an area of 351 sq km and is a south tropical semi-evergreen forest.

The whole area is protected with rolling steep escarpments. The Radhanagari Wildlife Sanctuary is also known for Bison and other wild creatures.

The area is rich in Bauxite ore. The Randhanagari Dam is a famous tourist spot here. Besides wild animals, many types of reptiles, amphibians and many species of birds can also be seen
