Kumara Parvatha

Location

Kumara Parvata, a division of the Western Ghats, is one of the splendid peaks in Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka with a height of about 4,000 ft. It provides a great sight of lights of Somawarpet town, from the top of the Parvata. It stands as a imposing picturesque background to the Kukke Subrahmanya Swamy Temple.

The white stones seen atop the Kumara Parvata are believed as Saligramams and Shivalingas having six faces, and are known as Kumaralingas. This is a popular trekking spot in Kukke and many adventurous tourists visit here to have this beautiful but difficult treks in Kumara Parvata.
