This mining area has one of the largest deposits of Iron ore in the world. These are of extremely high quality - the Iron content of the ore is as high as 68%. 14 reserves have been discovered, of which 3 are being mined. Bailadila has two towns - Bacheli (29 km from Dantewada) and Kirandul (41 km from Dantewada). The mines are in the highest peak, Aakash Nagar. You can visit this, after taking permission from NMDC (National Mineral Development Corporation). The mile-long iron-ore trains are a sight not easily forgotten. The 22 km road from Bacheli to Aakash Nagar winds through some extremely scenic forests. Another 12 km road from Kirandul takes visitors to Kailash nagar, another peak.

Patanjali wrote about it in 'Divya Vadhan' which prove its presence in 7th century. Today the surya Kund temple of Amadalpur reflects the splendor of medieval India.

Known for utensils industry. Yugandhra & Ganadhari had been demolished by Nadirshah in 1739. The credit of rebuilding this city goes to Sardar Roa Singh in 1783. Slowly it became a major centre of metals industry.

Magpie Tourist Complex On the Delhi-Agra highway, this spot is particularly popular for its lawns and an arch-shaped motel. Magpie Complex came up in a district headquarter town on National Highway#2. It began in the PWD Building. Today Magpie has its own wings with a Convention centre coming up. Magpie is a compact tourist complex with well decorated guest rooms and also banquet and restaurant facilities.

Hotel Raj Hans stands above Suraj Kund and overlooks the lake bestowing its comforts upon foreign and domestic tourists.

Dabchick is a delightful centre that grew up to be one of the most picturesque stations.

Small cubicles seems to spring up from every angle, where a wide range of choice delights await the visitors : Gift shops, cafeteria, restaurant, fast-food counter, chat-corner, fruit juice corner, banking counter, a filling station, a first aid dispensary and similar units tend to delight the visitors by their variety. The gardens behind the cubicles have chairs and tables laid out for those who prefer to sit out in the open. Camper cottages have been built here, for the budget tourists who want to stay on. A small Japanese garden also provides small boats for the little ones.

The Haryana Tourism has recently commissioned a new Golf course on the banks of Western Yamuna canal just near the Lake-Oasis twin complex. The golf course has been cleverly designed as it lies on both sides of the National Highway No 1, and one has to pass under the highway to continue playing. The combination of Karna Lake, Oasis Complex and the Golf Course is going to make this place in Karnal as one of the most visited tourist spots in whole of Haryana.
