Shivrinarayan

It is also famous for it's religious importance. It is situated at 65 km. By road from Bilaspur. According to "Ramayan", Lord Ram has eaten the 'Ber' of Shabri at this place. This place has also some ancient temples as Narayan temple & Chandrachudeshwar temple. Shivrinarayan is also the meeting point of Mahanadi and Shivnath river.

Malhar

Situated about 30 kms from Bilaspur, Malhar is an important archaeological site. Malhar is today an important tourist center with temples dating back to the 10th and 11th century. Main attractions of Malhar are the temples of Didneshwari, Pataleshwar Kedar Temple with Gomukhi Siva-ling and Dewari. The temple of Didneshwari with the beautiful black idol of Didneshwari Devi is very popular among tourists. A museum setup by the archaeological department with good collection of old sculptures is also worth a visit.

It is also famous for it's historical importance. It is also known as "Chhittaurgarh of Chhattisgarh". It has a fort on the highest peek of Mekaal Mountain. It is also the origin point of Jatashankar river and was the first capital of the Calturian kings.

Chaiturgarh

About 80 kms from Bilaspur - Chaiturgarh, one of the 36 forts of Chhattisgarh, is considered as one of the strongest natural forts protected by strong natural walls. Constructed by Raja Prithvidev First of Ratanpur on one of the hills of Maikal range in Chhattisgarh, the fort has three main entrances named as Menaka, Humkara, and Simhadwar.
