Ramgarh Hill

Location

A high hill of the District with a peak, Ramgarh lies to the east of the great road from Allahabad to Rameshwaram, in the extreme south. Allahabad is about 384 km. from this hill. It rises abruptly from the surrounding plains of the former Rampur tappa of the District. The nearrest railway station viz. the Kharsia Railway Station (in Ramgarh District), is about 160 kms away.

Deogarh

Location

About 40 km from Ambikapur, Deogarh is situated on the bank of the Rihand River. It is famous for its calm and quiet scenic beauty and the archaeology of a very early age. The place is also called Deoria, due to the great number of divinities scattered all around. Its Gauri-Shankar temple might have been constructed by a Nagavamsi ruler of the Bhara-siva dynasty during 110 B.C. to 78 A.D.

Deepadih

Location

A Village of Samri Tahsil, formerly it was included in the chalgali tappa of the erstwhile Surguja State, It is situated about 41.6 kms. to the southwest of Samri. The nearest village to its east is Lamka. Depadih is connected with the tahsil headquarters by Kutchha roads.

About 1.5 kms from the village there are a few ruined temples and tanks. According to some historians Depadih was ruled by a Dravidian monarch, named Samni Singh. According to local tradition Samni Singh was killed in a battle with his contemporary Tanginath.

Shadani Darbar

Location

Located about 10 kilometers from Raipur railway station and only 4 kilometers from the Airport, on the Dhamtari road, Shadani Darbar has beautiful engraved images of gods and avatars (incarnations) that can be seen on the either side of the wall.

30 minutes from Raipur, on the banks of the Mahanadi river, this was once an important urban centre. It has a fine group of temples, of which the main one (Rajivalochana Temple) is dedicated to Lord Vishnu.

Location

This is called the natural AC of Korea district . About 65 kms. from Baikunthpur near Bansipur village this place exist. Small water fall is also there .About 100 mt. area is covered from both sides by rocks . In side people can walk freely. Water drops are continuosly drop there in summar season. anybody can bath from these drops. There are also naturare are also natural rops in that area by using that one can hang and enjoy with water drops On extreme summar this place is very cold. The surrounding area is full of forests and rocks.

Tala

It is also famous for it's archeological importance. It is situated at 30 km. by road from Bilaspura at the bank of Maniyari river. In Tala two ancient temples of Fifth Century have been found by extraction which are Jethani temple & Devrani temple. Devrani temple is still in good condition. The main attraction of Tala is the ancient idol of Lord Shiva which is also of Fifth century.

Talagaon

Situated about 30 kms from Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh, Talagaon is a small quite village on the banks of Maniyari River. Talagaon is famous for the ancient picturesque Deorani-Jethani temples with huge statues on the banks of the river.The highlight of Talagaon is the unique idol of Lord Shiva known as Rudrashiv which is in excellent condition.
