A lovely temple atop of Vindhya mountain, Ashtabhuja Devi Temple in Vindhyachal boast of a fabulous legend. It is believed that the girl child born to Devaki and Vasudevar had miraculously escaped from the clutches of Kamsa and settled here as the embodiment of shakthi in these mountain ranges. This temple in her name is located in a cave in the small hummock of the Vindhya ranges and is considered as the incarnation of Goddess Parvathi Devi.
