Gupta Temple

Location

A harbinger in temple architecture, Gupta temple at Sanchi bears a significant position in the entire history of India. This centuries old structure carries a great legend of magnitude and one could not find any other formation of that much old, which can match with this artistic marvel.

Ashta Kali Mandir

Location

Ashta Kali Mandir 43 km away from Seoni was built by Himadri Pundit, a legendary figure of the area. He is credited to have built this stone temple overnight and its architecture laid the foundations for the local Himandpanthi style of temple building.

The story of Asta Temple is very interesting. Seoni and near by area is ruled by Yadav king, on that time the King was Mahadev and his minister was Himadri Brahman. The Himadri Brahman was eulogized in the history of C.P and Barar. Himadri Brhman had knowledge of math, chemistry, Sanskrit and astrology. Himadri Brahman would take pledge to construct lot of temple in all Devghiri state.

Banjari Mandir

Location

This temple is located at a 47 kms distance from Seoni. Banjari temple charms the devotee the natural site of temple in chain the people. There is a beautiful and charming idol of Banjari mata. In the second side of the road idol of hanuman is placed. After blessing in the feet of goddess people go ahead.

Shri Ram Mandir

Location

Located at 1kms distance from Seoni. Ram temple of Seoni is historical and ancient. Right side of the temple god Sankar ensconced with their family. Idol of Ram, Sita, Laxman and Krishna is established there. South side of this temple there is two hundred year old tree of papal where one beautiful idol of Hanumanji is established.

Siddhavat

Location

Siddhavat a tiny locale at Ujjain is well known for the immortal Siddhavat Tree situated on the banks of the Shipra. Blessed with religious sanctity, Siddhavata as the Akashyavat in Prayag and Gaya, Vanshivat of Vrindavan and the Panchavata of Nasik. Thousands of pilgrims take a dip in the Shipra from the bathing ghat built here. According to one tradition, Parvati is believed to have performed her penance here. It used to be a place of worship for the followers of Natha sect.

Sandipani Ashram

Location

The Ancient Indian Tradition of gurukul imparts education to students irrespective of their wealth or poverty. Besides a variety of subjects and ancient scriptures, in gurukul, students were taught battle techniques and spiritualism. From the vedic period itself, Ujjain was a reputed center of learning.

Sandipani Ashram is a famous hermitage situated in Ujjain, where Lord Krishna spent his formative years until adolescence. Sandipani, the saint in the hermitage, taught Krishna and Balarama, here in this Ashram.
