Sri Tyagaraja temple is an ancient temple located at Thiruvarur. This artistically and architecturally beautiful temple is dedicated to the Somaskandar, one grandeur form of Lord Shiva. The temple complex houses shrines for Tyagarajar, Vanmikanathar and the Kamalaamba. The temple is located in a vast expanse of scenic region.
The Kamalalayam temple tank located in the nearby region is the largest temple tank in the country. The temple owns the largest chariot in Tamil Nadu.
