The Kishangarh Fort, a historically important structure, is located at the place renowned as Jaisalmer Bulge. The fort adorns a place between the towns of Mandha, Ramgarh and Tanot in Rajasthan. It is of very high strategic importance in political map of India as it is placed on a road linking Pakistan with India.
The fort was in the limelight when Pakistan army captured the fort with the help of local tribe known as Hurs and later based on Tashkent agreement the fort returned back to India.
The Fort, the ancient structure believed to be built by the Kings of Rathore dynasty, is a specimen of centuries old Indian architectural style. This archaeologically and historically important fort is a major attraction in Kishangarh for the tourists enthused in history and archeology.
