Dona Paula Beach

Location

Dona Paula Beach is popularly known as the 'Lover's Paradise', which is situated at around 7 km away from the state capital Panaji. It is believed that Dona Paula, daughter of a viceroy who was entombed in the Cabo Chapel, emerges from the beach waves and haunts visitors.

Tourists visiting the beach can indulge in numerous activities, such as swimming and sunbathing. Janmashtami and the Feast of St. Lawrence are the two main festivals celebrated at this beach. In November, tourists visit the beach for enjoying the colourful water sports festival. During this month, visitors can enjoy activities like parasailing, water scooting, water skiing, speedboat rides, wind surfing and many more.
