Shree Bhagwati Temple, (Pernem)
28 kms from Panaji in Pernem Taluka, the temple is said to be more than 500 years old. Made of black stone, two life size images of elephants in a standing position at the entrance welcomes visitors.. Dussehra is celebrated with gaiety when over 25 thousand devotees assemble at the temple.

Safa Shahouri Masjid

Safa Shahouri Masjid, Ponda
The Shahouri Masjid in Ponda taluka, the biggest and most famous of the mosques in Goa, was built in 1560 by Ibrahim Adilshah of Bijapur. Adjacent to the mosque is a well constructed masonry tank with small chambers with ‘meharab’ designs. The two major festivals of Id-Ul-Fitr and Id-Ul-Zuha are celebrated at this mosque with great pomp.

Goa State Museum

Goa State Museum is located close to the EDC Complex, Patto, Panaji. It was established in 1977 and is under the jurisdiction of the Department of Archives in Goa. The repository is split up into 12 galleries and has a gigantic assemblage of over 8000 articles. Goa State Museum contains Hindu and Jain sculptures, timber items, handicrafts, textiles, coins bronzes, paintings, manuscripts, anthropological things and mud models from all over India.

Goa State Museum is open on all days except Saturdays, Sundays and Other Holidays.

Azad Maidan

Azad Maidan
It is the small plot in Panjim town, a pavilion in the center presently built and in the middle is the statue of Dr. Tristao de Braganza Cunha, the former Goan Freedom Fighter, He was the ‘Valiant Hero of Goan Fight for Freedom’. Previously during Portuguese in 1847 the State of Afonso Albuquerque made of bronze and two meters tall was built, after conquering various sites in Goa which is now place in Museum at Old Goa. Close to this is one monument dedicated to those who fought to liberate the Goa from Portuguese Rule.

Aravalem Falls

Aravalem Falls, Aravalem (Bicholim)
Descending from the temple of Rudreshwar, one catches sight of a majestic waterfall cascading from a height of f about 70 ft. to form a sizeable lake at the bottom—a tempting sight to seasoned swimmers.

The Arvalem or Harvalem waterfalls, which cascades down from the mountains, from a height of 50 metres, is one of the most awe-amazing spots. It is situated at about 2 km from the small town of Sanquelim and 8 km from Bicholim, in North Goa.
