Barabar Cave

Location

The Barabar and Nagarjuni Hills are situated about 41 km. from Bodhgaya (25 kms north of Gaya) and contain, in all, seven rock-cut caves of which four are in the Barabar hills. Barabar Caves is an important achaeological site. The caves carved out from solid rocks bear details of the life of Buddha.
Two of the caves, dedicated by Ashoka to Ajivika monks, are in the form of a plain rectangular outer hall. At one end of which is an inner chamber with carved wall and over hanging caves.

Gonda Hill

Location

About 4 km. from G.P.O., Ranchi on Kanke Road,just in fornt of the CMPDIL Hq. Is situated the Gonda Hill with a water reservoir at its top. At the foot of the hill is a big lake known as Kanke Dam and a lucrative place for tourists.

Ranchi Hill & Lake

Location

Ranchi, being situated at an altitude of 21,40 feet from sea level, is a popular health and holiday resort and a place of sacred pilgrimate.Some comely sights in the town include Ranchi Hill,Tagore Hill,Ranchi Lake etc.A panoramic view of the town can be behond from the hill top.The Shiva Temple situated on the top of the hill,is an added attraction for the devotees for whom it assumes the places of reverence during Shravanmas same as that of Baijnath Dham (Deoghar).

Tagore Hill

Location

Tagore Hill which is 300 feet high is 3 kms from Ranchi and associated with a history pertaining to the Tagore family. Rabindranath Tagore is believed to have written a number of books on this hill. At the foot of the hill is the office of Ramkrishna Mission Ashram and the centre of Divyayan and Agrarian Vocational Institute. The Tagore Hill is taller than Ranchi Hill.

Panch Gagh Falls

Location

A spectacular place with five beautiful cascaded in a row, Panch (means five) Gagh falls, is placed on Ranchi- Chakradharpur near to the scenic village Khunti. These five falls originates from high altitudes and the foot of the falls is good picnic spot, to have the exprience of bath under the gushing water.

Recently these five falls are attracted by many tourists visiting Ranchi due to its eternal beauty, pristine surroundings and calm atmosphere.

Jonha Falls

Location

Jonha Falls is situated on the Purliya Highway which lead to the village of Jonha. The waterfall is a popular picnic spot near the Kanchi river, surrounded by a rich variety of flora and fauna. A temple of Lord Gautam Buddha is situated nearby thus the falls are also called as Gautamdhara. The road leading to the falls is narrow and one has to descend 500 pared steps if one wants to admire the falls.

Jonha Falls, also known as Gautam Dhara named after Gautam Buddha, is a beautiful water fall in Kanchi River. Nearby falls attracted by tourists are Sita falls and Dassam falls. The picturesque surroundings are marvelous and one can step down nearly 500 steps to admire the beauty of the Johna falls.
