Located 22 km from Bhandardara, Ghatghar is a popular viewpoint in the area. It offers a panoramic view of the Sahyadri ranges.
Mount Kalsubai is the highest peak (1,646 meters) of the Sahyadri range. The peak point served as a tower to watch the enemies during the Maratha rule. It is an nonpareil place to enjoy trekking.
A small temple can be seen at the top. The temple has an old well in its backyard. According to legend the water level of the well never drops below 3 feet.
Built way back in 1910 on the Pravara-River and standing 150 mts high, Wilson Dam is the largest earthen dam in India- a powerful testimony to the engineering skills of days gone by. At the base of Wilson Dam there is a garden endowed with thick greenery, streams and gigantic trees- the latter, home to hundreds of harmless fruit bats that hand precariously from the branches all through the day. During the monsoon, when the level of the lake rises, the dam opens its gates to release a torrent of water that finds its way down to the plains below.
The Umbrella falls are also in the vicinity of the Wilson Dam. These beautiful falls can be enjoyed only during the monsoon season. This is the time when the water level in the lake is considerable.

Placed in the Igatpuri region of the Sahyadris is the Randha Falls. It is a 45 m high waterfall. The falls is 11 km from Wilson Dam. The water of the falls is used for generation of hydro-power. The falls is a tourist spot at Bhandardara.
10 km down river, the serenity is zonked by the thunder of the Randha Falls. The Pravara river plunks 170 ft down into a gullet and creates a breathtaking sight. This is the third largest falls in India. On the drops behind there are nearly a dozen huge beehives. They are very interesting to watch.
Bhandardara Lake is also known as Lake Aurthur Hill. It is formed by the dammed up waters of the Pravara river. It is a major tourist attraction. It is located amidst the dense green forest. Shri Agasti Rishi meditated continuously for a year at this place so it has a religious importance too.
Aurangabad railway station is not in the main route. Nearest Railway Station is Manmad which is 120 km away from Aurangabad. From here connecting trains running through the major cities across the country are available. Manmad to Aurangbad costs about Rs 900 by taxi.
Wadali Talao: Situating 3 km away from the Amaravati Camp on Chandur Railway Road, it was built for clean and fresh water supply to Amravati Camp. There is a small garden with a zoo here. People usually come here during weekends and enjoy boating. This is one of the best places for kids.
Situating 1 km away from Dasturnagar Square on the Malkhed Railway Road, it was built in the year 1888 on a small spring called Kali Nadi. This small reservoir was built to supply drinking water to Amravati city. However, Amravati gets water from Upper Wardha Dam now. A small garden and boating facility is also available here.
