Alleppey Beach

Alleppey Beach: Alleppey Beach is also frequently referred to as Alappuzha Beach. There is an old character-filled pier located here that is over 137 years old. Alleppey Beach is one of the most popular beaches of the state of Kerala. One thing that draws people to this beach is the facilities at Vijaya Beach Park. The Alleppey beach has the Arabian Sea to the west as well as a large network of lakes, lagoons and several freshwater rivers nearby. The beautiful sand contrasts nicely with the color of the water, to make for a truly relaxing atmosphere.

Moti Talao

Location

If Sawantwadi is a beauty then Moti Talav can be called its majestic beauty spot. This graceful lake with a newly renovated garden nearby summons the mortals with divine elegance and imperial diktat. he Province had decided to crate two palaces for the Emperor and thus started the work of excavation which resulted in creation of this beautiful lake as a reservoir of water was created. Well, the lucky workers made a killing as they were paid or presented with Moti (Pearls) for the wonderful job done by them. So that’s how the lake came to be known as Moti (Pearl) Talav (lake).

Burundi Beach

Gopalgad Hill

Location

Gopalgad hill is a scenic, trekking place located in the Anjanvel village in Guhagar. There is a historical fort known as Gopalgad fort, overlooking downhill. The fort is assumed to be built by Siddis during the beginning period of 16th century. Shivaji Maharaj later captured the fort in 1660. An adventurous trek for about a mile through the hilly trails will lead the visitor to the top of the ruined fort.

Guhagar Beach

Location

The beach at Guhagar is the main attraction for visitors. It is about 200m from the state transport bust station. Though the beach is clean and safe, there are signs advising caution during high tide and monsoons when the water can get rough. Tourists are generally seen here in the summer to enjoy the silvery sands and the crystal clear waters. There are small hills here that are quite easy to climb. Lately small eateries have started being set up along the beach.

Long stretch of unspoiled white sand beach, Guhagar beach offers all sanctity one looks in a serene and secluded beach. The invasions of modern concrete buildings are scanty in this beach. The beach offers a perfect place for sunbath, relaxation and meditation, away from the madding crowds.

Ganapatipule Beach

Location

The Ganapatipule Beach is clean with fine silvery white sand. The beach is not safe for swimming because it contains stretches of rocks. There is also a lagoon. The adventurous tourists can try their hands at balancing a kayak. The place is fit for the entire family to enjoy a holiday or a vacation.

At the end of the beach there is a small cliff. The view from atop is really enchanting. Trails of cashew and mango trees can be seen lined along the beach.

The visitors can enjoy Marathi vegetarian delicacies at the beach.
