Kozhikode Beach

Kappad Beach

Kappad Beach is one of the most historical places of significance in the world. Thus, it is one of the many places in India where a tourist must go and see. Kappad Beach is very famous and significant because of the fact that the famous world explorer Vasco De Gama first set foot on the Kappad Beach on his world famous journey. Vasco De Gama set foot on the Kappad Beach in 1498 AD. In fact, to honor this significant historical event, there is a stone monument that is erected on the Kappad Beach so that the visitors can get a feel for those times.

Kallai River

At one time, the ton of Kallai that is situated next to the Kallai River, was the biggest timber trading center in the continent of Asia. Kallai River was sued to collect timber and ship them off by the sea to other merchants all over Asia. Thus Kallai River is a reminiscence of the times that India was a great power on her behalf. Hosdurg Beach

Bekal Fort Beach

Location

The Bekal fort beach is just a kilometer away from Bekal fort. The Bekal fort beach is one among the long-familiar beaches in Kasargod. The beach is popularly known because it holds a huge surface area of white sands that enshroud an area of thirty-five acres land. The Bekal fort beach is strewed with palm trees and thereby gives a pleasing palpate to the visitors. Kuttanad

Situated in the heart of the backwaters, Kuttunad is also known as “the rice bowl of Kerala” because of its paddy cultivation. The region has the lowest altitude in India and is one of the very few places in the world where farming is done below sea level.
