Goddess Visalakshi Shrine is located at the village Anur at a distance of 3 km from Kamarpukur. The deity in the Shrine known as Giddess Visalakshy is very popular in the region. The Goddess is placed under open sky. It is believed that there was a temple which was demolished by Goddess herself.
Goddess Visalakshy is believed to be supporting poor and needy people. The shrines legendary stories relate the amazing wonders shown by Goddess Visalakshi. There are many stories relating the shrine to Gadadhar who sang devotional songs of the Goddess at the age of eight. The ladies accompanied Gadadhar understood the miracles of goddess at this place.
