Location
The English Church is one of the remarkable and significant oldest churches of the Kannur district. The English Church had excellent glass works manufactured in London. These stained glasses enhanced the beauty of the English church. The grave stones employed in the construction of the church sustained a poignant charm.
Next to the English Church, was the Catholic Rosary Church. This is to the west of the famous cricket ground. Though the church is abandoned today, it has retained its English beauty. In 1784, Col Matthew Murray and Connety married in this church and Matthew served in the Indian army. It is believed that Connety's grave rests in this cemetery.
