Cuddalore is a place of tourist attraction due to its enchanting beaches like the Silver Beach. Devanampattinam Silver Beach is one of the important and interesting recreational spot not only for Cuddalore but also for Tourists from other places. The Beach is located on the northern part of the Coastal Stretch which have long shore area like the Marina Beach in Chennai.
The Silver Beach saw great devastation during the 2004 Asian Tsunami. It is untouched by the busy life of the city. The Silver beach is situated 22 km south of Pondicherry, near the town of Cuddalore. This a golden sandy beach.
There is provision for entertainment like boating, horse-riding, a children’s park, and a boat house at the beach.
