Kuchaman Fort

Location

A 1000 feet high hillock overlooks the Kuchaman city housing, the Kuchaman Fort (presently converted into a heritage hotel). The fort displays unique and highly creative collection of artwork ranging from imaginative structures to inlay work studded with precious stones, glass and even gold paint. The palace walls are decked with elegant miniature paintings and murals. The Sheesh Mahal (glass palace), Jal Mahal, Sabha Prakash, Meena Bazar etc. are few of the structures that adorn the fort and are still in excellent physical condition.

Meera Mahal

Location

The Meera Mahal is an exquisite palace which plays host to the miniature paintings illustrating the life story of Rathore poet saint Meerabai, the passionate devotee of Lord Krishna. The passion and dedication with which Meera (a married Rajput woman) worshipped Lord Krishna has been a part of the folklore for ages and is still considered to be one of the finest efforts by any devotee to evince the allegiance to Lord. Kishangarh Fort

Location

The Kishangarh Fort, a historically important structure, is located at the place renowned as Jaisalmer Bulge. The fort adorns a place between the towns of Mandha, Ramgarh and Tanot in Rajasthan. It is of very high strategic importance in political map of India as it is placed on a road linking Pakistan with India.

The Bhanwar Vilas Palace was constructed to provide a royal residence to Maharaj Ganesh Pal, the ruler of Karauli. The work was completed in late 1930s. Timangarh Fort

Location

The Timangarh Fort named after the King Timanpal is an imposing structure staring down at the surroundings at a distance of around 40 km from Karauli. The fort is believed to have been constructed in 1100 AD, and destroyed in one of the attack thereafter. The fort was renovated in 1244 AD by King Timanpal of Bayana. The fort is renowned for it’s collection ancient ashtadhatu (eight metals) and stone idols carvings. The amazing art work visible on the temple yards and walls is an example of the expertise that prevailed in the region.
