Sundaridiya Satra

Location

Sundaridiya Satra, one of the religious places in the destination, was constructed by Shri Madhavdeva after he left the Ganakkuchi Satra. Apart from serving the adobe to Shri Madhavdeva, the premises of the shrine played a vital role in spreading Vaishnavisim and reformation.

Bhakti Ratnakar and Namghosa are the two popular epics composed by the guru in the original Vithi of the Satra. There is a well preserved tank, which was believed to be dug by the guru himself during his stay at the site. Drinking the holy water of this well is believed to cleanse the sins of the devotees. A large number of items used by the guru are preserved in the shrine.
