Masani Temple is a popular shrine in Gurgaon, which is dedicated to Goddess Masani. The temple is thronged by devotees, whose children are suffering from small-pox, as a visit to the temple is considered as the best antidote for the disease.
According to legend, there was a temple of Masani Devi in Kesopur village. One day the native of the village, Singha dreamt that Goddess Masani wanted to leave the village. In his dream, goddess instructed him to build a temple for her in Gurgaon. The main attraction of the temple is the annual Masani Fair, which is held during the month of April or May.
