Kyunkaleshwar Mahadev Temple

An 8th century temple that signifies the Hindu renaissance of that time Kyunkaleshwar Mahadev Temple situates in the suburbs of the main town .It is believed that this historic shrine is raised by Sankaracharya during his trip to Pauri.

The temple has Lord Shiva as the presiding deity who is accompanied by his consort Goddess Parvati and their children Ganapati and Karthikeya. Along with them, Lord Ram, Lakshman and Sita also adores the temple premises.

One would get a spectacular vision of the entire town along with the looming Himalayas and the imposing Alaknanda Valley. This devout center of great significance not only attract the pious but also the casual visitors since it houses mind blowing sceneries.
