Kamteswari temple

Location

Located around 8 km towards the west of the railway station of Dinhata, the present building of the Kamteswari temple is not the original one. The present version was erected in 1665 by Maharaja Pran Narayan after the older one was destroyed.

The temple has the Debi throne and has two other temples located at the back of the temple premise. The gate has a 'Tarakeswar Sivalinga' and the temple hosts a number of festivals on its premise like the Batha Festival of Debi.
