Guru Gobind Singhji, the 10th Guru was given the Guru Gaddi (the seat of the Sikh religious leadership) at the Gurudwara Damdama Sahib. At this gurudwara he declared the end of the institution of Masands, the priestly agents of the former Guru’s.
