Nubra Valley

Location

This 'Orchard of Ladakh' is popular for its rich vegetation with an average altitude of about 10,000 ft. above sea level. Located 150 kilometers north of Leh, Nubra Valley is the place to enjoy nature at its very best. This valley of flowers provides picturesque landscapes and unparalleled trekking opportunities. Despite lying at a great altitude, Nubra is a relatively warmer valley. The place is filled with apricots throughout the year. One can spot a number of yellow and pink wild roses during early summers and countless wild lavender in August.

The picturesque landscapes of the Nubra Valley are nurtured by the River Nubra, is a tributary of the Shyok River (parallel to River Indus).
