It’s a beautiful town situated at an altitude of 4,250 feet above sea level. There are many beautiful Buddhist monasteries and a large Institution of Tibetans. This town is also showered with tea orchards. An annual fair is held here at nearby ground.
This beautiful village is situated beside state highway 20.It has only Govt. revenue training centre of the state near Jhlawan (3km from Jogindernagar). At nearby Bhatta a beautiful residential colony for Uhl Stage III employees is situated. The temple of Chamunda Mata , the Goddess of war is situated here. Devotees from distant villages come here. Here one temple of Lord Shiva is situated at Bagh. The residential colony near Bhatta is made in modern style and gives a view like a big city.
Afterwards a short on foot journey of 2 kilometers ends at a panoramic picnic and tourist spot called Barot, 41 km by road from Joginder Nagar, and 13 km by the Haulage trolley. This is the most beautiful hill station of Jogindernagar packs an enormous range of outdoor activities. Two reservoirs of the power project is located here. A trout breeding centre makes it a wonderful place for angling. Across the river Uhl is the Nargu Wild Life Sanctuary home to the ghoral, Himalayan black bear, leopard, Monal, kite, monkey, kasturi deer, wild cat, nilgai, kakkar and a variety of pheasants.
This beautiful place is located on Dharamsala-Shimla road and the road leads Una to Kullu at a distance of 15km from Hamirpur towards Bilaspur.
10 km. from Jwalamukhi and 40 km. from Kangra. A lovely place for a quiet weekend. The Beas river which flows nearby provides excellent Mahasheer fishing. Theere is a temple dedicated to Shiva.
Known for its monolithic rock temples, Masroor is 15kms south of Kangra. There are 15 rock cut temples in Indo-Aryan style and richly carved. The temples partly ruined now are profusely decorated with sculptural ornamentations, conceived in the same manner as the great temple of Kailash at Elora in Maharashtra with which they bear a striking resemblance.
Situated on the crest of hill this picnic spot affords a panoramic view of the Kangra valley, Pong Dam Lake and Dhauladhar ranges.
It is situated on the bank of the Beas. It is possible to use Dehra as a base for different fishing areas like Pong Dam, Pattan, kurn and Nadaun. There are PWD & Forest rest houses for a night stay. One can also visit the famous temple of Chintpurni from here.
A high point beyond the Dal Lake, Naddi village affords a magnificent view of Dhauladhar mountain range to the north and the vast expanse of lush Kangra valley to the south. Naddi is situated far away from the hustle and bustle of the Macleodganj market and provides complete peace of mind. It is surely the best place to spend some quality time amidst the heart of Dhauladhar mountains.
There are hot springs situated at Tatwani, 25 kilometres from Dharamshala but on the way, at Machhrial, is a waterfall twice as big as the one near the Bhagsunath temple.
