Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary (20 km east of Mananthavady) is a part of Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary and is situated adjacent to Nagarhole National Park in the Western Ghats. The Tholpetty Sanctuary is thus a part of the Nilgiri Biosphere in South India.
