Pantnagar

Pantnagar - Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology G.B. University is the first ever-agricultural university of India. It was inaugurated by the first Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru on the 17th of November 1960 as the Uttar Pradesh Agricultural University (UPAU). Later the name was changed to Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology in 1972 to memorialize the great freedom fighter Govind Ballabh Pant. It is located at a distance of 5km from Rudrapur. This university lies in the town of Pantnagar in the district of Udhaam Singh Nagar in the state of Uttarakhand, India.
